Both the Champion and Reserve honours went to young females from the same class in the British Blue section at the Royal Three Counties Show on Friday, 16 June.

Taking the top ticket was Andrew Bishop’s Maes Sexyspice, a 14-month-old Bringlee Carlos daughter originally bred by IP Jones out of the Empire D’Ochain-sired Sheehills Fivestar.

“She’s very well balanced and in tremendous show condition while also so sweet and feminine,” commented the judge, Nick Hill, from Somerset.

Withywood Sassy Lassie

The Reserve honours went to the second prize heifer, Withywood Sassy Lassie from Lucy Gould. A month younger than the leader, this Whisky Coca D’Atrive daughter is out of Trencrom Kween Bee, herself by Pinnacle Fists.

Also claiming red tickets were Julie Turner’s Newpole Saracen and Newpole Past Midnight, as well as Anthony Power’s Newpole Riot.
