British Blue Cross Carcase takes Championship at St. Merryn Foods Christmas Shows

St. Merryn Foods held their Annual Christmas Carcase Shows, firstly at Merthyr Tydfil on 28th November 2013 and secondly, at Bodmin on 4th December 2013.

Methyr Tydfil

There were over 190 entries and the winner for the Best British Blue was an E2 - 411.6kg steer from FC Garlick & Son’s Lower Moors Farm, Hereford. 

The British Blue Cattle Society President, Gill Evans attended the event and was on hand to present the prizes.

Bodmin

At Bodmin there were over 200 entries, with the Best British Blue going to SS Parker & Son Callestick Farm, Truro, with an E2 - 354.1kg Heifer.

Nigel Jenkinson, Chairman of the South West British Blue Cattle Club was on hand to present the prizes.  This winning carcase also took the prize for the Overall Champion Carcase
