Border Club Raffle & Auction – Stay Strong Stu

The Border British Blue Club donated the money raised at the Society AGM and Club Social Supper the evening before the 25th Annual British Blue Show & Sale to Stay Strong Stu.

Janine Brown who works with Club members Jonathan & Jayne Watson (Tweeddale) made a scrumptious chocolate cake which was sold by auctioneer James Little after the Champion was sold at the Blue sale for £180 to the Haigh family, Breckenhill Farm, Low Gate, Hexham (Luce Water Herd) who then put it up for auction again to be sold for £150 to Jools Turner, Wellington, Somerset & Andy, Steph & Tom Ryder, Blackhamilton, Blackford, Carlisle. Lynne Grieve also donated a fruit cake which was won in the raffle by Michael Burnop who asked that it also be put it up for auction and was sold for £100 to the Wainwright family, Todhall Farm, Cupar Fife (Todhall Herd). £430 was raised at the auction & £320 from the raffle and £102 from t-shirt sales and donations.

The Border Club have raised a grand total of £852 for Stay Strong Stu. Thank you to all who helped us raise money for this appeal. It will go to jointly raise awareness of Brain Tumours & to empower our communities to help fight such an illness - whilst also providing practical support for Stu.
