90% Clearance of British Blues at Moira        
          
        The Premier Show & Sale of British Blue Cattle was held at the
          Pedigree Sales Arena, Moira, Co. Down, Northern Ireland on Saturday
        23rd October 2010.  
        The sale opened with a packed arena and all those
          present stood in silence in memory of the late Willie Wilson, following
        a moving tribute paid by Auctioneer, Michael Taffe. 
        The judge, Kevin
          Watret of the “Solway
          View” Herd, Annan,
          Dumfriesshire, put up as his Supreme and Male Champion, “Woodview
          Dane ET”  A son of Empire D’Ochain, out of Woodview Alice.
          Dane was knocked down at 6,000gns to a Donegal breeder. From the same
          stable, the Reserve Male Champion was “Woodview Dennis ET” a
          black bull by the noted Springbank Blackstar and out of Woodview Barbie.
        Dennis found a new home at 3,100gns at Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh. 
        Northern
          Ireland Club Secretary, Harold McKee, stood Reserve Supreme Champion
          with Blackford Eminence ET, a March born black & white
          heifer by the Baron sired Blackford Big Ben and out of Lukeroyal Tiara.         
        The Reserve Champion Female went to Jim Ervine’s “Knockagh
          Emily ET” An eye-catching blue & white heifer out of Skerry
          View Angel and sired by another Baron son, Henlli Wishmaster ET. She
          finds a new home south of the border at 2,120gns.
