English Winter Fair 2010
The North West Club hosted a stand at the English Winter Fair on the 20th and 21st November 2010 and held a competition in aid of the North West Air Ambulance Charity.
Four bulls were on the stand by courtesy of Graham Jones - Graymar Europe and Graymar Edmond, Tim Mountford - Hartley Emperor and Danny Wyllie -Tamhorn Formidable and Mr Brian Wheatley and Mr Jim Barber sponsored the prizes. The club would like to extend our thanks to them for their support. The competition was to place the bulls in the order that competitors thought they should be placed and guess the combined weight of all four. Stephen Priestley was the official judge and he placed the bulls as follows: A, B, Y, X and the combined weight was 2,285kgs. Congratulations to those nearest to the correct answers and winners of the Border Fine Arts British Blue Bull Figurines: Junior (Under 16) Esme Cormack Intermediate (16 – 21) Beth Lawrence Senior (Over 21) Gilly Storer We would like to thank all those who took part in our competition and £133 is on its way to the North West Ambulance Charity.
