2007 Leek and Bakewell Shows
Not a herd to stand on its laurels, the Belfield family fresh from taking the Exhibitor Bred Group title at Leek Show on the 28th July went on a few days later to Bakewell Show and captured the Interbreed Group title. Their three 14 months old Blues, Boothlow Bianca, by Gitan D P’Tit Mayeur out of Boothlow Venus, Boothlow Batman, by Affute Du Ry Ossogne out of Boothlow Rachel, and Boothlow Bonnie, by Blak Du Baty D’Eprave out of their imported cow Obstinee De Ronaux, clinched the red ribbons against strong competition with some of the other breed groups fielding Royal Show individual champions and group champions in their teams.
Earlier in the show Bonnie and Bianca had been 1st and 2nd in their class and Batman had won his class. Three young Blues by different sires out of different cows, a breeding regime that Keith and Janet along with sons Tom and Jack can be justifiably proud of. |
