Wales & Borders Calf ShowMONDAY OCTOBER 9th 2006 There was a good turnout of calves at the first calf show of Wales & Borders Club. Members travelled from South & west Wales, Shropshire, Herefordshire, and Worcestershire to attend the event. The judges were Mr Richard Bartle and Mr Mark Hallam. The supreme champion in the pedigree section and also female champion was Betws Bell, a 9-month-old heifer from Gill & Rhys Bellis, Glynarthen, Llandysyul. Bell is sired by Balto and out of Dundrod Vicky. Reserve female was awarded to Bringlee Barbie ET, 9 months old out of Damelia Van De Wolvendreef and sired by Notez. Champion male was from Graham Brindley Market Drayton, Bringlee Blackstar,
a 5-month-old Baron son out of Bringlee Sandy. In the crossbred section the champion and reserve champion was awarded to Elfed & Sheena Thomas, Tan Y Groes, Cardigan.
