FREEPHONE TELEPHONE REGISTRATION SERVICE – “TELEREG”

In order to further improve efficiency, the Society is moving away from the old, manual system of registering calves, to a Freephone, telephone registration service. It is planned to keep the old system in place for the time being, however, the ultimate intention is for ‘Telereg’ to completely replace the old system. Only ‘Telereg’ will be available to new members from now on.

‘Telreg’ reduces paperwork to a minimum. Just one Freephone call enables you to register calves and complete the statutory BCMS passport applications. Data is also automatically fed into the “Beefbreeder Recording Scheme.”

On the same call, for a small fee of 50p per commercial beast, you may apply for a passport for any non- pedigree animals that you may have.

Over 2000 Holstein U K and Ireland members are already very successfully using this new service; in fact nearly 85% of all registrations handled by HUKI are now done using “Telereg.”

The Society will provide you with, at a minimal cost of £3.30 plus Vat, a “Cattle log” to guide you through the service and to enable you to keep an on-farm record of all your registrations.

To enrol onto “Telereg”, please print, complete, sign and post the two forms, a ‘Personal Identification Number Application Form’ and a ‘Passport Application Authorization Form’, which are available on this web site to: -

The British Blue Cattle Society, Scotsbridge House, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. WD3 3BB.

I am sure that you will find “Telereg” considerably more convenient to use and I look forward to receiving your completed application forms.

If you would like to discuss this new service in more detail, please contact me on 01768 88775 and I will be pleased to answer any queries that you may have.

Yours sincerely

John Fleming
(Secretary)
