New Market Record at Bakewell
A new market record was established on Monday 1st February 2010 at Bakewell Market when a superb 11 year old British Blue Cow from Keith Belfield, Sheen sold for 228 pence/kilo to gross an amazing £2074.80.
The same vendor had two other cows on the day which sold for 215 pence/kilo (£1388) and 162.5 pence/kilo (£1277.25). The top priced cow was purchased by local livestock buyer David Wright from Taddington.
