Annual Prize Show & Sale of Suckled Calves at Kirkby Stephen Mart

Monday 3rd November 2008

Harrison & Hetherington held their Annual Prize Show & Sale of Suckled Calves at Kirkby Stephen Mart, on Monday 3rd November.

Messrs D & C E Marston, Easegill Head had an excellent day, winning four first prizes and the overall champion. The champion, a British Blue Heifer, sired by Philipper De Remichampagne and selling for £1150 to Mr M Bulmer.

Top price went to Messrs K A Brown & Son, Asby Hall whose Reserve Champion sold at £2750 to Messrs Dent, Bolton, This heifer calf was sired by the British Bred bull, Boothlow Uzo.

The show was judged by Mr J Waind and Mr M Bulmer from Malton. Sponsors were J G Animal Health, Dugdale Nutrition of Clitheroe, Novartis Animal Health, North West Limousin Breeders, British Blue Cattle Society and Sai Global
