Primestock Show & Sale

On Monday 26th April 2010, The Border British Blue Club held their annual show and sale of primestock in conjunction with Harrison and Hetheringtons weekly primestock sale.

The show was kindly sponsored by J Stobart & Sons Ltd Quality Farm Feeds, TW Relph & Son Ltd and H & H Insurance Brokers Ltd. This year saw two judges sharing the duties Mr Jimmy Mulholland judged the prime cattle and young bulls with Mr Owan Llyr coming forward to finish proceedings by judging the cast cow class.

1st prize Young bull with Allan & Deidre Wilkinson, Springfield (vendor) and Mr Stephen Pattinson (Club Chairman).

Taking the Championship rosette was Messrs Wilkinson of Springfield Farm with their first prize young bull, which later sold to Cleveland Meats for £1874.40.

Reserve champion and 1st prize heifer consigned by Messrs RW & G Dickinson, High Knipe

Messrs RW & G Dickinson of High Knipe took away the Reserve Championship ticket for their first prize heifer.
